In a ceremony taking place at the La Palmeras Events Center in the city of Rancagua, KDM officially became part of the Pro O’Higgins Association. On April 29, 2009, regional authorities, entrepreneurs, collaborators, and beneficiaries attended the event that also welcomed the University of Aconcagua.

During the ceremony, Pro O’Higgins presented the projects developed in the O’higgins region in 2008.

Pro O’Higgins Association President and Codelco’s “El Teniente” Division General Manager Ricardo Alvarez Fuentes said about the 2008 public account of Pro O’higgins: “To work for progress is to bet everything and do it with a compromise. This is demonstrated by the 27 partner companies of the Pro’Ohiggins Association after 10 years of laborious work. The Association inserts itself proactively in the social and productive agenda of the region. We have mobilized more than $350 million in education, entrepreneurship, and the improvement of entrepreneurial management programs.
