(Source: www.cne.cl) Non conventional renewable energy does not exhaust itself in the process of transformation of useful energy. Among these energies are: hydraulic, solar, eolic (wind), and ocean energy. In addition, energy originated from biomass and geothermal energy can be considered sources of renewable energies depending on how they are extracted. Energy is classified into conventional and non-conventional. Its type will depend on its level of technology development, how they are used, and its market penetration. As an example, hydraulic energy extracted at great scale is considered a conventional renewable energy.
