Chile-Sweden Cooperation FundTechnological Knowledge and Development, Innovation, New Markets

The Chile-Sweden Cooperation Fund was created in 2002 by The Chilean Production Promotion Association (CORFO in spanish), the Swedish Cooperation Agency for International Development (ASDI), and the Inter Chile Cooperation Agency (AGCI in spanish). The Fund defined its areas of interest on the following fields: metal-mechanical, forestry / logging, communication and information technologies, environment, renewable energy, and natural resources among others.

The Fund financially supports those projects that increase the competitiveness of its participant companies and entities. It helps to develop and apply technologies, new methods and solutions, it re-enforces entrepreneurial capacities to offer products and services. As an example, the Fund co-finances:

  • Technological development and applied research projects.
  • Specialized consulting to allow the re-enforcement of capacities and technical skills of participant companies and entities.
  • Technological missions – individual or groups- to get acquainted with and to research technological solutions, to evaluate potential strategic partners, to negotiate alliances and long term collaboration agreements.
  • Organization of entrepreneurial meetings, points of contacts, seminars, etc. To promote the relationships between companies, organizations, and Swedish / Chilean technological institutions.
